Tapas Y Copas Funchal

One of the best restaurants in the area. Me and my wife came here on our first night and had to return on our last! The quality of the food compared to the price is second to none. 4 or 5 dishes is more than enough for a couple to enjoy. The waiters are also very friendly and accommodating. If I was to visit Madeira again I would have to come back here!

I really liked this little tapas restaurant. It's a bit strange that you need to buzz for someone to come to serve you. The white sangria was legit and most of what we ordered very tasty and came fast. A bit expensive for a meal when you add it all up, but perfect for apperitivo or late night snacks with a drink.

Simply the best tapas I’ve ever had. Beautifully prepared and delivered. An excellent wine menu to accompany the stunning dishes. It was so good, we went twice in two nights. Thankyou to you all for a fantastic experience.

We booked this restaurant as we walked out for predrinks. When we went back, we were given a lovely corner table on the platform 1st floor. Drinks delivered swiftly and food order taken. Dishes arrived in different times, but this did not spoil the meal, we all shared. Finished with churros and lovely chocolate sauce. Well done to everyone.

Category: Fine Food. This cool and lively place offers plenty of outdoor and inside seating on several levels of what struck me as several stacked stainless-steel outlined glass-fronted boxes (I liked the architecture). The outside floors’ mosaic tiles, bar level’s brick wall, wood-like tile floors upstairs, mottled-paint walls, dark wood tables, and well-placed travel posters give the place a clean but comfortable feel. The food is Spanish tapas. Generous portions but still tapas, and many different menu choices. The list also offered good wine choices by the bottle but limited choices by the copa. This was not a problem for us because we always order a bottle but if more copas had been offered we may have tried several different wines by the glass instead of buying a bottle of one thing. On the Sunday night we were there, live music filled the first floor inside, so the volume was perfect for us on the second floor. Unique feature: on each table was a device to call a server (see photos). Push the button and a server comes quickly. I have never seen this before, anywhere. I need to get one for my wife. We enjoyed a lovely meal. The waiter was friendly and helpful. We ordered what we thought would be smaller portions of several dishes, but the portions are on the generous side. The food was tasty and we will probably go back if we get the chance.

Couldn't fault any of the food, was all very fresh and tasty. Lovely building with quick service, would recommend and visit again. Visited again this evening and it was even better than the first time, everything we have tried we have enjoyed thoroughly, easily our favourite restaurant on the holiday. Would recommend to any friends visiting Madeira.
